Omaka Springs Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 21-Nov-2012
Sauvignon Blanc and a small amount of Semillon from the ‘Kennedys Road' and ‘Falveys' vineyards fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.9 g/L rs. Bright, pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The nose is fresh, light and tight with up-front aromas of English gooseberries and green capsicums along with a minerally element. Dry to taste, light and refreshing gooseberry fruit flavours are complemented by notes of white stonefruits and minerals. The acidity is crisp and a light textural line contributes to a taut, brisk palate. The finish shows succulent fruit nuances and is carried by racy acid. This is a dry, crisp and taut Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry flavours. Match with shellfish over the next 2 years. 20,000 cases made. 16.0+/20 Nov 2012 RRP $19.95
