Olivier Leflaive Volnay 2010

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 01-Nov-2015
Deepish ruby-red colour with garnet and brick hues. The nose is restrained and quiet in expression, but reveals good depth and concentration of aromatic red fruits, complexed by savoury florals and lifted oak. This is integrated, reserved and is expressed with some detail. Quite elegant in proportion, the palate is deep with good intensity of savoury red berry fruits. The flavours grow in weight, concentration and presence, and the palate is solid for a Volnay. There is fine acidity, providing poise and energy on the finish. From 40 y.o. vines. Tank aged. 17.0+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $75.00
