Olivier Leflaive Pommard 1er Cru ‘Charmots’ 2011

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 01-Nov-2015
Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with a dark-red heart. The bouquet is fill and solid with softly packed aromas of ripe dark red berry fruits with savoury earth and game complexities, along with piquant dark herb interest. This is solid and fulsome in presentation. Full-bodied with ripe, very dark red berry and plum flavours, nuances of game, herbs and undergrowth add complexing interest. The fruit has vibrant sweetness, match with fulsome tannin extraction, the palate mouthfilling in breadth and presence. Savoury plum and liquorice flavours emerge and carry to a strong, flavoursome, well-structured finish. From 30 y.o. vines. Aged 18 months in 30% new oak barrels. 18.0-/20 Oct 2015 RRP $105.00
