Olivier Leflaive Chassagne Montrachet 1er ‘Clos Saint-Marc’ 2010

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 01-Nov-2015
Bright, light golden-yellow colour. The bouquet is finely presented with a round and solid core of citrussy and mealy fruit, stonefruits, nuts and gunflint complexities all in a harmonious amalgam, growing in density in the glass. On palate quite refined and elegant with subtly sweet stonefruit, flint and nutty flavours underlined by fine phenolics. This is tightly bound, but balanced with integration and good detail. Fine, lacy acidity leads the grip to a lifted floral finish. Estate fruit from 1.71 ha of the ‘Les Vergers’ site, vines 20 y.o. Aged 17 months in 25% new oak barrels. 18.0/20 Oct 2015 RRP $130.00
