Review Date : 18-Jan-2021
Deep, ruby-red with a black hue with little transparency, lighter on edge. The nose is vibrant and full, rich aromas of prunes and cherries melded with spices and liquorice, underlined alcohol power. Medium-full bodied, succulent aromas of prunes and cherries have concentration and freshness, subtle spices linger on the finish. The palate is filled with ripe tannin grip with black tea fragrance, added texture, and lively acidity to a sleek dry finish. Match with venison and lamb over the next 3+ years. Primitivo grapes from Salento, Puglia. Fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks, 13.5% alc. 17.5+/20 pts (89 pts) Jan 2021 RRP $19.90
