Nor’wester By Greystone Sauvignon Blanc 2023, North Canterbury

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 14-Feb-2024
Bright, even, pale yellow. The nose is generous and fresh with aromas of tropical fruit, gooseberry, herbs and flinty elements. Medium-bodied, aromas of pineapple and gooseberry intertwined with green apple, fresh herbs and flinty complexity. Fine-textured phenolics reminiscent of apple skins coat the palate, and fresh acidity carries a refreshing, flavour-packed closing. This Sauvignon Blanc is expressive and generous with flavour and texture on a crisp line. Match with sole fish and clams over the next 2-3 years. The majority of juice was fermented in stoneless steel tanks, and a small portion was fermented in aged barrels, 13.5% alc. 18.5-/20 pts (92 pts) Feb 2024 RRP $25
