Nockie’s Palette Georgetown Pinot Noir 2018, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 12-May-2021
Bright, light ruby-red with good transparency, lighter edged. The bouquet is perfumed and open, with bright aromas of red cherries, young plums entwined with thyme, hints of barrel spices and earthy elements. Medium-full bodied, the wine has vibrancy and depth, nuances of red cherries, red plums intermix floral, thyme and a good dose of spices, unfolding subtle earthy and savoury details. Lacy acidity flows smoothly along a finely-knitted tannin line, very elegantly presented. Well-portioned barrel spices lengthen the palate to an elegant, sustained closing. This is a harmonious Pinot Noir with balanced fruit and spices along a silky tannin palate. Match with rack of lamb and braised pork belly over the next 5-7 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc, vegan friendly. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) May 2021 RRP $45
