No. 1 Family Rosé Methode Traditionelle, Marlborough

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Nov-2022
Bright, pale salmon with a peach hue, even colour throughout. The bead is very fine and persistent. This has an elegantly rich bouquet, penetrating aromas of red berry, marinated cherry, stonefruit, rose petals and flinty minerals intertwined with toasty, yeasty autolysis. Medium-full bodied, aromas of marinated cherry, red berry and a suggestion of peach have a savoury edge, melded with rose petals, flinty minerals, and toast linger to a long and profound finish. The flavours are harmonious with depth and details; savoury notes add interest, balance and a moreish finish. This Rosé Methode Traditionnelle is complex and layered with fruit, rose, flint and toasty details with refined mousse and palate. Match with beef carpaccio and veal chop over the next 3+ years. 100% Pinot Noir, 13% alc, 8.58 g/l RS, 2+ years on lees. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Nov 2022 RRP $49
