No. 1 Family Estate Rosé Méthode Traditionelle NV, Marlborough

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Feb-2022
Bright, pale blush-pink, even colour throughout. The bubbles are fine, vibrant and consistent. The nose is fresh with aromas of strawberries, stonefruit, rose petals, underlying yeasty autolysis. Medium-bodied, dry to taste, aromas of strawberries, peach shows purity, entwined with subtle rose petals, unveiling minerals, brioche, strawberry yoghurt and a hint of almond. The fruit is elegantly presented with purity and sweetness, well-balanced with acid precision. The mouthfeel possesses a refined, slightly chalky texture; it flows with well-proportioned yeasty autolysis adding complexity and remaining fresh on the palate. This well-balanced, elegant Rosé Méthode Traditionelle shows charming fruit and precise autolysis complexity. Match with beef tartare and cioppino over the next 3-5 years. 100% Pinot Noir, 13% alc, 8.58 g/l RS, aged 2 years+ on lees, disgorgement Nov 2021. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Feb 2022 RRP $47
