Nikau Point ‘Summer’ Sparkling NV

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 05-Dec-2011
A blend of 68% Pinot Noir, 26% Chardonnay and 6% Pinot Meunier, from Hawke's Bay, fermented to 12.0% alc. Pale straw-yellow colour with hints of gold, the bead light in persistence. This has a fullish, up-front bouquet with ripe stonefruit and peach aromas with subtle bready notes. Dry to taste, this has gentle, lush, uncomplicated flavours of stonefruits with a little honey and toast, attractively accessible and well-proportioned through the palate. Soft and fruity, the acidity is fresh and balanced and with the effervescence provides good brightness to the wine. This is an accessible and softly fruity wine that can be served as an aperitif over the next 18 months. 16.0+/20 Dec 2011 RRP $17.95
