Nigl ‘Senftenberger Piri’ Gruner Veltliner 2011

Gruner Veltliner from Austria
Review Date : 07-Feb-2013
Niederosterreich, indigenous fermentation in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 1.4 g/L rs. Very pale straw-green, this has a stern, near austere and firm nose, with pepper and herbs and minerally notes, the bouquet with depth and power. Dry and fullish bodied with real presence and vinosity, this has a solidness and depth. The herb and pepper fruit quite subtle, allowing the minerality show clearly, and with directness. Delicate savoury nuances, of wild fermentation. 17.5+/20 Feb 2013
