Nicolas Perrin Viognier 2014

Viognier from France - Rhone
Review Date : 05-Oct-2015
100% Viognier from the Coteaux d’Ardeche, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. Bright straw-yellow with slight green hues. The nose is elegant and tightly bound with aromas of exotic florals, apricots, fresh herbs and nuances of minerals, the aromatics showing intensity, freshness and cut. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, elegantly concentrated flavours of apricots, stonefruits, florals and herbs form a good core with richness and lusciousness. This has good, lively mouthfeel from fresh acidity, and palate drive and line from some underlying alcoholic power. The wine flows with energy, leading to a soft, dry-textured finish with floral and musk notes. This is an elegantly concentrated Viognier with luscious exotic flavours and some alcoholic power and drive. Match with Middle Eastern and Asian fare over the next 3-4 years. 17.0+/20 Oct 2015 RRP $26.99
