Ngatarawa ‘Stables’ Sauvignon Blanc Pink 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 19-Jun-2011
A novel approach to the rosé style for Ngatarawa. 96% Sauvignon Blanc cool-fermented and 4% Merlot added, all Hawke's Bay fruit. The wine is 12.5% alc. with 4.0 g/L rs. Pale peach-pink with a pale edge to the colour, this has a light, softly fresh, nose of subtle, herbaceous gooseberry fruit with bright notes of strawberries showing. Softly dry and with gentle gooseberry fruit flavours, watermelon, red currants and strawberries add a sweetness and succulence to the palate as well as a vibrant brightness. The wine has a fine textural, tannin thread that carries through to the finish. Drink over the next two years with antipasto, cold meats and salads and Asian cuisine. 16.0+/20 Jun 2011 RRP $15.00
