Ngatarawa ‘Stables’ Hawke’s Bay Syrah/Cabernet 2010

Blended Red from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 19-Jun-2011
A blend of 44% Syrah, 42% Cabernet Franc and 14% Merlot from Hawke's Bay, fermented to 13.5% alc. Bright, light ruby-red colour with a lighter edge. This has a softly fresh, elegant and inviting bouquet of soft red berry fruits with notes of spices and white pepper. Medium-bodied, the wine shows flavours of red berry fruits, red florals, spices and pepper and hints of oak-like cedar, on a softly rounded palate. The wine is lightly extracted and the resultant tannins are gentle and supple. This is an accessible, Pinot Noir-esque style red that will match pizza, pasta and Mediterranean cuisine over the next 2-4 years. 15.5+/20 Jun 2011 RRP $15.00
