Ngatarawa ‘Stables’ Hawke’s Bay Late Harvest 2010

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 19-Jun-2011
70% Viognier with 26% Riesling and 4% Gewurztraminer fermented to 11.5% alc. and 78 g/L rs. Light straw-yellow colour with a pale edge, this has a light, apricotty bouquet along with notes of green apples, ripe raisined grapes and soft talc-like botrytis. Sweet on palate, this is soft, lusciously honied with flavours of apricots, mandarins and peaches and marmalade-like botrytis. The wine is up-front and open, and low in acidity, contributing to the breadth of the wine. A little textural grip gives length. Serve as an aperitif, or match with light desserts and soft or blue cheeses over the next 3-4+ years. (375 ml) 17.0/20 Jun 2011 RRP $15.00
