Ngatarawa ‘Stables’ Hawke’s Bay Chardonnay 2010

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 19-Jun-2011
A blend of Hawke's Bay and Gisborne fruit fermented to 13.0% alc. The wine underwent partial MLF and was given light oak treatment. Bright straw-yellow colour with light lemony-gold hues, this has a light and straightforward nose of citrus and stonefruits, minerals and nuts. Medium-bodied, this has attractive melon and tropical fruit flavours along with some smoky oak spice and nuttiness. Full and rounded on the palate, the wine is well-balanced with good acidity that lifts the fruit nuances on the finish. A wine to serve with a variety of food, including veal and poultry, over the next 3-4+ years. 16.5+/20 Jun 2011 RRP $15.00
