Full, even straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, paler on edge. The bouquet is full with soft, aromatic waves of ripe citrus fruits harmoniously melded with an amalgam of creamy barrel-ferment, nutty and toasty oak and subtle mealy elements. Medium-full bodied, the palate is smooth and seamless with ripe citrus fruit and creamy oak integrated with nutty and toasty oak flavours. This has layers of richness, but the palate has a soft and fine textural presence and weight with fresh, underlying acidity. The wine carries to a dry, elegant, lingering finish. This is a harmonious, gently rich and creamy Chardonnay with a fresh, dry finish. Match with poultry and pork over the next 4+ years. Clone 15 fruit from two sites in the Bridge Pa Triangle, fully barrel-fermented, 25% with indigenous yeasts and 25% undergoing a ‘hot ferment’ to 14.0% alc., the wine aged 11 months in one-third new French oak barriques, undergoing batonnage and MLF. 18.0/20 May 2015 RRP $34.00
