Ngatarawa ‘Glazebrook’ Hawke’s Bay Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 26-May-2015
Bright pale straw colour with light green hues, pale on rim. The nose is soft and openly accessible with up-front aromas of stonefruits and tropical fruits revealing gooseberry fruit and gentle grassy layers with time in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, light tropical fruit and gooseberry fruit flavours are lifted by aromatic herb and grassy notes. A dry phenolic line features on the palate, lending a textured mouthfeel. This has fresh acid drive which combines with the grip carrying the wine through to a firm, dry finish. This is a light, aromatic Sauvignon Blanc with a firm, dry palate. Serve with white meats, salads and vegetables over the next 18 months to 2 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit with a portion given skin contact, cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 2.1 g/L RS. 16.0/20 May 2015 RRP $19.00
