Ngatarawa ‘Glazebrook’ Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2015

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 12-Jul-2015
Bright, light golden-hued straw-yellow colour, lighter edged. The nose is very fresh and tightly bound with delicately lifted fermentation esters and exotic white and yellow florals, along with hints of honeysuckle and thirst-quenching mineral elements. Dry to taste and medium to medium-full bodied, the palate is tightly concentrated, steely and refreshingly crisp with delicately rich and sweet flavours of white stonefruits along with exotic florals and a hint of honeysuckle. The wine unfolds an array of delicate aromatic detail as it flows along a very fine-textured line. Racy acidity adds to the tension and cut and carries the palate to a clean, fresh, lingering finish with nuances of spices and florals. This is a crisp and steely, refined, dry Pinot Gris with delicately rich, exotic fruit flavours. Match with Asian fare over the next 3 years. Hawke’s Bay fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.0% alc. and <1 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Jul 2015 RRP $19.00
