Moderately deep crimson with a purple hue, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full, with aromas of blackberry, plum, vanilla, baking spice and herb. Medium-bodied, aromas of blackberry and plum have a pure core, entwined with vanilla, nutmeg, cinnamon, and subtle dried thyme. The fruit is elegant and pure with good intensity and lively acidity. The tannins are silky, gently framing the succulent fruit, unfolding sweet spices and a lengthy finish. A well-rounded, appealing Pinot Noir. Match with smoked duck and lamb over the next 10 years.
