Neudorf Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 15-Aug-2011
53% of the fruit the ‘Balquidder' vineyard, and 47% from the ‘Lord Rutherford' vineyard in Brightwater, 10% WBP and fermented to 14.0% alc. and 2 g/L rs, 9% fermented in old oak barriques. Brilliant straw-yellow colour with hints of pale green-gold. This has a soft, full and voluminous nose of ripe capsicums, nectarines and herbs, along with nuances of minerals, smoke and flint. Dry to taste, this is fulsome and rich, packed with flavours of ripe stonefruits, nectarines and herbs, providing plenty of weight. The acidity is slippery, but soft, adding a sweetness and lusciousness to the fruit expression. This is a wine with concentration of fruit, quite solid in presentation and with excellent presence. Match with seafood and poultry over the next 2-3+ years. 18.0+/20 Aug 2011 RRP $22.90
