Neudorf Nelson Chardonnay 2009

Chardonnay from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 13-Feb-2011
Bright light golden hued straw yellow in colour, this has an elegant, yet intense nose of citrus fruits, peach and mealy-nutty aromas with beautifully subtle backing oak. The palate is super-stylish, with full, rich and lusciously ripe grapefruit, nectarine and mealy flavours and nutty oak in complete integration and accord. The creamy mouthfeel and long sustained finish is a reflection of the impeccable winemaking. Drink this with grilled seafood, poultry and pork dishes over the next 4-5 years. Made from Mendoza, clone 15 and 95 from the Neudorf Home Block and Rosedale Road, wild yeast fermented to 13.5% alc. and matured 10 months in 25% new oak barrels. The wine underwent total malolactic conversion. 19.0-/20 Jan 2011 RRP $29.00
