Neudorf Moutere Nelson Riesling Dry 2014

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 23-Feb-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow with slight green hues, lighter on rim. The nose is very elegant and tightly bound, extremely refined in expression with intense, pure and cutting aromas of white florals and minerals, along with lime detail. Dry to taste, the flavours of florals, citrus and minerals are tightly bound and concentrated. The palate features a refined, seamless mouthfeel and core with integrated acidity lending linear drive and energy. Subtle mineral and flinty nuances unfold and are carried to a delicately juicy but mouthwatering, long lingering finish. This is an elegant, beautifully refined, tightly concentrated dry Riesling with lime and mineral flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 5-7 years. Hand-picked fruit from ‘Rosie’s’ block, WBP and indigenous yeast fermented, 85% in stainless-steel and 15% in neutral puncheons, to 12.5% alc., 7.6 g/L RS, TA 7.7 g/L and pH 2.91, the oak portion aged on gross lees. 369 cases made. 19.0/20 Feb 2015 RRP $27.00
