Neudorf Moutere Nelson Riesling Dry 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 06-Aug-2012
Fruit from the ‘Rosedale Road' vineyard, hand-picked and undergoing extensive sorting and selection, WBP and fermented with inoculated yeasts to 12.0% alc. and 8.95 g/L rs, a TA of 7.9 g/L and a pH of 2.75. Bright, very pale straw yellow with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is pristine and pure with delicate aromas of limes, white florals and minerals, along with a little sherbet lift, all with a steely, minerally depth. Dry to taste, this is beautifully refined in texture, the palate showing delicate and pure flavours of limes and minerals which flow seamlessly through the palate line. Restrained acidity lends a soft vitality, and carries through to a very long, lively finish with lime and minerally notes. This dry Riesling has exceptional purity and finesse. Serve as an aperitif or with subtle seafood dishes over the next 5-6+ years. 240 cases made. 19.0/20 Aug 2012 RRP $23.50
