Neudorf Moutere Nelson Dry Riesling 2016

Riesling from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 20-Feb-2018
Full straw-yellow colour with pale lemon-gold hues, lighter on the edge. The nose is elegantly concentrated and intense with penetrating aromas of lime fruit entwined with hints of toast and suggestions of honeysuckle, along with thirst-quenching mineral detail. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has a soft and rounded core with concentrated lime fruit and an amalgam of florals, honeysuckle and toast, unveiling mineral nuances. The palate is underlined by refined phenolic textures providing good linearity, and integrated acidity giving positive drive. The wine carries to a gentle, lingering finish. This is a softly concentrated dry Riesling with a rounded core of lime, floral and subtle toasty notes, on a fine, linear palate. Serve as an aperitif or with Asian fare over the next 4-5 years. Fruit from ‘Rosie’s Block’, WBP and fully indigenous yeast fermented in stainless-steel with 20% in neutral puncheons to 11.5% alc. and 8.0 g/L RS, TA 8.3 g/L and pH 2.94. 236 cases made. 18.5/20 Feb 2018 RRP $29.00
