Moderately deep crimson, lightly lighter on the rim. The nose is poised and elegantly full, with aromas of cherry, black raspberry, delicate spice and hints of herbs. Medium-bodied, aromas of cherry and black raspberry intertwined with thyme, liquorice, cinnamon and pepper. The fruit shows purity and brightness, supported by lacy acidity; herbs and delicate spices elevate complexity. Finely woven tannins with a light grip frame the fruit and leave a silky palate. This Pinot Noir shows lovely fruit and spice on a fine structure and lengthy finish. Match with duck breast and lamb over the next 6+ years. Fermented with 20% whole bunches to 13.% alc, aged 9 months in French oak barrels, 25% new oak. 1,800 bottles produced. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Jul 2024 RRP $35
