Natural Wine Co. Gisborne Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Gisborn
Review Date : 23-Sep-2018
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, paler on the rim. The nose is softly full and voluminous with moderately deep aromas of pungent passionfruit along with notes of tropical fruits and fresh herbs. This is rounded in expression, and unfolds green stonefruit and floral elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is soft and elegant with a rich heart of pungent passionfruit along with fresh and savoury herbs, tropical fruits and green stonefruits. The mouthfeel is enlivened by fresh acidity and the wine flows with good energy, drive and line to a lingering finish. This is a softly elegant, punchy, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a smooth flow and freshness. Serve with salads and vegetables, and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Terrace’ vineyard, Ormond Valley Road, given 12 hours skin contact and indigenous yeast fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 5.1 g/L RS. Certified Asurequality Organic. 17.0/20 Sep 2018 RRP $19.95
