Natural Wine Co. Gisborne Organic Pinot Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Gisborn
Review Date : 23-Sep-2018
Bright, light, peach-pink colour with slight orange hues and some depth, lighter on the edge. The nose is light with a tautcore of quince fruit along with subtle notes of strawberries and red florals, and hints of mouthwatering herbs. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a soft core of quince fruit entwined with subtle notes of strawberries and florals. The flavours flow smoothly along a slippery line with fresh, underlying acidity. The mouthfeel is gently crisp and mouthwatering, and the flavours carry to a light, nuanced finish. This is a light, smooth and gently thirst-quenching off-dry rosé with quince, strawberry and floral notes, and a light fnish. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit predominantly from the ‘Coastal’ vineyard, Manutuke and young vines from the ‘Valley’ vineyard, Ormond, given 2 days skin contact and indigenous yeast fermented to 12.5% alc. and 8.5 g/L RS. Certified Asurequality Organic. 16.0/20 Sep 2018 RRP $19.95
