Naked Vine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 19-Dec-2012
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is very delicate with aromas of acacia florals, honeysuckle and limes, revealing subtle gooseberry and mineral notes. Dryish to taste, this is elegant and dancing on the palate with fine flavours of gooseberries, passionfruit and lifted florals, enlivened by fresh, lively and lacy acidity. The fruit has a little sweetness and richness that carries through to a moderately sustained and attractively nuanced finish of florals and herbs. This is a delicate, dryish Sauvignon Blanc with a fresh and crisp mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood or Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Patriarch' vineyard, fermented to 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs. Certified BioGro organic. 16.5/20 Dec 2012 RRP $17.95
