Bright, ple golden-yellow colour with some depth, lighter on the rim. This has a softly full and concentrated nose of rich and ripe citrus fruit and yellow stonefruits entwined with subtle creamy barrel-ferment and spicy, nutty oak along with lemon-curd MLF nuances. Medium-full bodied, the palate has mouthfilling flavours of savoury citrus fruits melded with nutty notes and mealy elements, with creamy barrel-ferment nuances. The palate has a rounded core and flows along a fine-textured phenolic line enlivened by fresh lacy acidity that lends a steely edge. This carries with good drive to a long, softly textured dry finish. This is a softly mouthfilling Chardonnay with rich, savoury citrus fruit and nutty flavours, along with mealy and creamy barrel elements on a rounded and soft-textured palate with dry finish. Match with roast pork and creamy seafood and poultry dishes over the next 4+ yeas. An equal blend of clone 95 and Mendoza, hand-sorted and fully barrel-fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 11 months in 50% new oak, with no batonnage, but 100% MLF. 40 cases made. 17.5+/20 Jun 2017 RRP $28.00
