Murphy-Goode California Chardonnay 2014

Chardonnay from USA
Review Date : 24-Jan-2017
Bright straw-yellow colour with pale lemon-gold hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is full with deep aromas of ripe citrus fruits and peaches entwined with nutty elements, cream and buttery suggestions, revealing toasty oak notes. Medium-bodied, the palate possesses fresh, up-front, ripe fruit flavours of citrus and peach, with yellow stonefruits intermingling with notes of cream and butter, toasty oak and nutty lees. The mouthfeel is bright, lively and refreshing with crisp acidity. The wine flows along a fine-textured line, carrying citrus and nutty flavours to a long, lingering, dry finish. This is a fresh and bright, up-front Chardonnay with citrus and peach flavours along with nutty, toasty and creamy layers. Match with roast pork over the next 3-4 years. California fruit undergoing limited barrel-fermentation to 13.5% alc. 17.5+/20 Jan 2017 RRP $35.00
