Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, pale on rim. The nose is softly full with aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit and tropical fruits, with lifted herb nuances. Savoury lantana and yellow stonefruit elements emerge with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, gently luscious and rich, ripe gooseberry fruit and exotic fruit flavours are the feature on palate. The mouthfeel is smooth and rounded, with good mouthwatering acidity providing energy. The palate follows a light textural line leading to a full, blossoming finish. This is a softly ripe and plush Sauvignon Blanc with rounded, ripe gooseberry and tropical fruit flavours. Serve with antipasto, vegetables and Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit fermented with 2% in new oak to 12.5% alc. and 0.75 g/L RS, with 60% aged 3 months on lees and 15% undergoing batonnage. 17.5-/20 May 2014 RRP $20.00
