Murdoch James ‘Estate’ Martinborough Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 13-Oct-2014
Light ruby-red with some purple hues. This has a bright nose with ripe, primary dark raspberry fruit aromas with firmness and concentration, unveiling some herbal interest. Quite elegant and still youthfully primary in fruit expression, ripe dark raspberries with lifted whole berry fermentation notes. A little oak, quite unobtrusive and balanced. Supple tannins with a good core and fine grip, and the wine is poised from fresh, lively acidity. Pretty, but with some good substance. 5-6+ years. 18.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $35.00
