Murdoch James ‘Blue Rock’ Martinborough Sauvignon Blanc 2010

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 07-Nov-2011
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with light green hues, pale on edge. This has fresh, intense cool-spectrum herb and nettle aromas with gooseberry and white floral notes. Dryish and crisp, the palate shows sweet gooseberry and herbal flavours that are open and accessible, with some weight and presence. The acidity is lively and adds a lusciousness and focus to the soft-textured mouthfeel. A soft and zesty wine with fresh herb flavours to match with antipasto, pasta and vegetable dishes over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Blue Rock' vineyard fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6.4 g/L rs, with lees contact for 4 months. 16.0+/20 Nov 2011 RRP $20.00
