Hand-picked fruit, indigenous yeast fermented with a portion in French oak puncheons to 13.5% alc. and 5.4 g/L RS, and pH 3.09. Bright, even straw-yellow colour with a light golden hue. The bouquet is softly concentrated with a dense amalgam of lime fruit, white florals, mouthwatering minerals and subtle flinty lees input along with nuances of toast. The aromas are presented harmoniously and grow in volume with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, fulsome and mouthfilling flavours of white stonefruits, lime and florals unfold layers of flint, minerals and nutty elements from some secondary development. The fruit has sweetness and richness, but is balanced by dry textures and good underlying acidity. The palate has presence and a robustness of mouthfeel, which carries the flavours to a dry, citrussy finish. This is a fulsome dry Riesling starting to show some bottle development and complexity.
