Mudbrick ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Noble Riesling 2017

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Jul-2018
Bright, light golden-yellow colour with some depth, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is full with well-concentrated, decadent aromas of honey and nectar, lime and orange marmalade, with musk and hints of crystallised fruits, unveiling subtle floral and citrus fruit notes with aeration. Very sweet to taste and light-bodied, the palate is rich and opulent, with plush and luscious flavours of tropical fruits, honey, marmalade and musk, forming a rounded, but dense core. This has excellent drive and linearity, and flows on an unctuous mouthfeel with soft acidity enhancing the tension and drive. The wine carries to a very long, lingering finish of marmalade, honey and musk. This is a rich, opulent and unctuous botrytised Riesling with honey, marmalade, nectar and musk flavours with excellent drive. Serve with fruit desserts, crème caramel and crème brulee over the next 4+ years. Marlborough Riesling with approx. 75% botrytis infection, fermented in stainless-steel to 11.0% alc. and 173 g/L RS, TA 9.1 g/L and pH 3.36. (375 ml) 664 cases made. 19.0-/20 Jul 2018 RRP $49.00
