Mud House ‘Single Vineyard’ ‘Woolshed’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Oct-2017
Bright, Very pale straw colour, near colourless on the edge. The nose is elegantly presented with taut and finely bound aromas of gooseberry fruit and passionfruit, along with snow peas and fresh herbs, unfolding some cut grass notes. The aromatics grow in depth and volume with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has up-front flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries with snow peas and fresh herbs. The mouthfeel is vigorous and mouthfilling, with good depth, freshness and vitality. The wine follows a fine-textured line with brisk acidity, and carries to a thirst-quenching, crisp finish. This is a fresh, up-front, well-fruited Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and passionfruit flavours and good vigour. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Woolshed’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. 18.0+/20 Oct 2017 RRP $22.99
