Mud House Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Nov-2015
Bright, very pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, very pale edged. The nose is very fresh with firmly bound aromas of pungent passionfruit along with layers of fresh herbs and gooseberries, interwoven with thirst-quenching mineral notes. This shows increasing depth with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned with tightly concentrated flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries. The fruit has a delicate lusciousness and sweetness enhanced by crisp, racy acidity, lending a lively mouthfeel. The wine follows a tight, fine-textured line that flows with energy and harmony, leading to a long, slender, minerally finish. This is an elegant and tightly bound, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours and a minerally finish. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Woolshed’ vineyard and growers in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys, cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Nov 2015 RRP $19.00
