Mt Beautiful Cheviot Hills Riesling 2009

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 01-Sep-2011
Bright straw-yellow colour with lemon hues and a pale edge with green hues, the bouquet is very delicate with aromas of lime juice, exotic jasmine florals, honey and the faintest secondary toastiness. Medium-dry to taste, this has a well-balanced palate with subtle flavours of limes, honey and toast within a soft-textured, harmonious mouthfeel and good acid slipperiness. Though the fruit is light, there is good vinous presence. WBP and cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 13.5 g/L rs. Serve as an aperitif and with mildly spicy Asian cuisine over the next 2-3 years. 16.0+/20 Sep 2011 RRP $21.95
