Mr. Riggs ‘Watervale’ Clare Valley Riesling 2012

Riesling from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 11-Jul-2012
Brilliant, very pale straw colour with green hues, pale on edge. This has a very refined, soft nose with intense and pure aromas of white florals, limes and wet stones. Dry to taste, flavours of green apples, limes and florals are tightly bound and concentrated. The acidity is very finely expressed and the wine has a satin-like smooth texture that is simultaneously refreshing and lively. This has energy and nervosity that provides the palate with excellent line. The wine finishes dry with soft, sustained mineral nuances. This is a beautifully refined and pure dry Riesling with an attractively soft mouthfeel and underlying energy. Serve as an aperitif or match with delicately flavoured seafood over the next 6-8 years. Fruit from ‘Kate's Block – Churinga' vineyard, fermented to 11.5% alc. 1,473 cases made. 18.5/20 Jul 2012 RRP $31.99
