Mountford Liaison Riesling 2013, North Canterbury

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 09-Mar-2021
Bright, medium gold-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is softly full, complex and fresh; aromas of honey, apricot, lime marmalade, melded with mineral, lime flower enriched by a soft note of petroleum. Medium-full bodied, medium-dry to taste, the palate is bright and clean with lime, lime marmalade, apricot, complexed by cereals, hay and honey, along with lime flower and mineral. The wine is developed and complex with a wide range of tertiary aromas; hay, cereals and nuts. Supportive acidity is mouthwatering, softened and crisp, showing vigour and persistent, lending on a supple, refreshing honeyed finish. This is a satisfying Riesling with complex aromas, crisp acidity and persistent. Match with Parmesan-macadamia-crusted pork chops over the next 3 years. 12.5% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Mar 2021 RRP $27
