Mount Riley Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 24-Nov-2015
Bright, even, pale straw colour with green hues, youthfully pale on rim. The nose is soft, harmonious and smoothly presented with light aromas of tropical fruits melded with layers of passionfruit forming a soft core. Nuances of herbs and green stone fruits add some detail. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, juicy and luscious, up-front fruit flavours of gooseberries, passionfruit and tropical fruits feature on the front palate and are enlivened by fresh, bright, lacy acidity. The wine follows a fine-textured line, with the flavours receding to a light, dry, grassy finish. This is a fresh, juicy, up-front Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberries, tropical fruits and passionfruit, and a light, dry finish. Serve with Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. 70% Wairau Valley and 30% Awatere Valley fruit, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4.0 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Nov 2015 RRP $16.99
