Mount Patriarch Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Mar-2015
Bright pale straw colour with slight green hues, very light edged. This has a light, tigh and refreshing nose with delicate aromas of cut grass, gooseberries and cooler spectrum nettle notes. The aromatics are clear and fruit focussed, revealing mineral and herbal elements. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, light, fresh and juicy fruit flavours of gooseberries, cut grass and green apples form a gently concentrated core. The mouthfeel is poised with mouth-watering acidity and the wine flows with good vitality to a light, delicate finish with lingering nuances. This is a light, fresh and balanced Sauvignon Blanc with cooler grassy and gooseberry fruit flavours. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Patriarch’ vineyard cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.6% alc. and 2.5 g/L RS, the wine aged up to 3 months on lees. Certified BioGro organic. 15.5+/20 Mar 2015 RRP $17.95
