Mount Patriarch Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 03-Dec-2013
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, light on edge. The nose is softly full with aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit and swwet herbs, along with a mouthwatering, mineral and pungent nuance. Dry to taste, bright, tightly bound, intense flavours of gooseberries are enlivened by fresh racy and crisp acidity. Very fine textures balance the fruit sweetness and the flavours flow with good acid energy to a thirst-quenching, mineral and gooseberryish finish. This is a crisp, racy Sauvignon Blanc with subtle lusciousness. Serve with Asian fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Patriarch’ vineyard cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.8% alc. and 4.0 g/L RS, the wine aged on lees. Certified BioGro organic. 17.0/20 Dec 2013 RRP $19.95
