Mount Langi Ghiran ‘Cliff Edge’ Grampians Riesling 2011

Riesling from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 18-Jun-2015
Very pale straw colour with slight green hues. The bouquet is refined, tightly bound and intense with pure lime aromas with subtle herb nuances, revealing a little toast line showing the beginnings of secondary development. This is remarkably fresh. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the moutheel is refined and refreshing with flavours of minerally lime juice, a little rainwater purity with fine, piquant acidity. This flows smoothly following a fine phenolic thread, unfolding some toasty nuances. There is fruit richness, balanced by mouthwatering acid, and the wine finishes long. This will evolve slowly. Grampians and Henty fruit from vines 35-102 y.o., cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 2 g/L RS. 18.5/20 Jun 2015 RRP $27.95
