Mount Langi Ghiran ‘Billi Billi’ Victoria Shiraz 2016

Syrah from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 29-Oct-2018
Dark, deep, ruby-red with black hues, a little lighter on the edge. The nose is firm and densely packed with seep and solid aromas of ripe blackberry fruit in an amalgam with boysenberries and notes of eucalyptus, spice and black pepper. The aromatics are harmoniously interwoven. Medium-bodied, the palate has a well-packed, rounded heart of ripe blackberries and boysenberry fruit with hints of eucalyptus, jam and spices. The flavours are well integrated and flow smoothly with soft, fine extraction in support. The acidity is balanced and soft, and the wine carries to a lighter, elegant finish. This is a well-packed Shiraz with flavours of ripe blackberries, boysenberries, eucalyptus and jam with a rounded heart and accessible palate. Serve with barbecued and roasted red meats over the next 3-4 years. 100% Shiraz from the Grampians, Swan Hill and Beechworth, vines 27 y.o. on average, fermented to 13.1% alc., the wine aged in French oak, a small portion new. 17.5-/20 Oct 2018 RRP $28.00
