Mount Langi Ghiran ‘Billi Billi’ Victoria Shiraz 2013

Syrah from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 10-Aug-2016
Dark, deep, ruby-red colour with some garnet hues on the rim. The bouquet is finely concentrated and firm with well-bound aromas of dark-red berry fruits melded with an amalgam of herbs and eucalyptus, unfolding some black pepper notes. Medium-bodied, this has a sweet and ripe-fruited core of dark raspberry fruit entwined with integrated layers of herbs and eucalypt. The fruit succulence is balanced by supple tannin extraction and the wine carries harmoniously to a soft, gently fruity, lingering finish. This is an elegant, supple and harmonious Shiraz with raspberry, herb and eucalypt flavours. Match with barbecued and roasted red meats over the next 4 years. Shiraz fruit from the Grampians, Swan Hill and Heathcote from vines 25 y.o., fermented to 14.2% alc. 16.5+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $24.99
