Mount Brown Waipara Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 06-Nov-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is finely concentrated with fragrant aromas of passionfruit and tropical fruit with lifted floral and fresh fermentation esters, unfolding fresh herb and mineral nuances. The aromatics have intensity and are bright and refreshing. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegantly concentrated with slender proportions showing aromatic fruit flavours of passionfruit, tropical fruit, exotic yellow florals and fresh fermentation esters at the core. The mouthfeel I refreshing with thirst-quenching acidity and the wine flows along a very fine-textured line, leading to a tight, dry, lingering finish of passionfruit, florals and esters. This is a finely concentrated, aromatic and lifted Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours and a mouthwatering palate. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables, and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Limeloader’ vineyard fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L RS, the wine aged 2 months on lees. 18.0/20 Nov 2016 RRP $15.99
