Light ruby-red colour, pale on the rime with slight purple hues. This has an elegant, freshly aromatic nose with bright cherry, raspberry and strawberry aromas along with subtle notes of fresh herbs and a little earthy detail. The fruit builds gently to show good depth. Medium-bodied, the palate possesses light and sweetly aromatic fruit flavours of red cherry fruit interwoven with subtle herb and earthy nuances. The fruit is fresh, bright and up-front and is the feature. Modest tannin extraction lends a supple and light-textured mouthfeel and fresh, lively acidity provides energy and line. The wine carries to a light, soft, red-fruited finish. This is a light and up-front, aromatic and sweet-fruited Pinot Noir with cherry and red berry fruit on a supple, balanced, but lively palate. Match with firm-fleshed seafood, poultry and antipasto over the next 2-3 years. Single estate Pinot Noir fruit indigenous yeast fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine on skins 30 days, with half of the wine aged in 2-4 y.o. oak. 16.5+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $21.99
