Bright straw-yellow colour with pale gold hues, lighter on the rim. The nose is fresh, full, up-front and accessible with well packed fragrant aromas of ripe yellow stonefruits and exotic tropical fruits entwined with lifted yellow florals, some honeysuckle nuances and piquant fermentation esters. Off-dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate is fresh with finely concentrated aromatic and vibrant white and yellow stonefruits, exotic tropical fruits and florals, that show with clarity. Some honeysuckle notes add richness. The mouthfeel is crisp with lacy acidity and the wine follows a grainy phenolic line leading to a dry finish with florals and fermentation esters. This dry Pinot Gris has an up-front fragrant nose and finely concentrated palate of stonefruits and florals with crisp acidity and grainy phenolic textures. Serve with Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine over the next 3+ years. Fruit from the ‘Limeloader’ vineyard, tank-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on lees. 17.5/20 Dec 2016 RRP $15.99
